The real estate market in Colorado has seen a dramatic drop in showings, as one can imagine. Below is a graph from January to March 29, 2020 from ShowingTime. ShowingTime is a large showing management technology provider that Realtors use to schedule showings in Denver and the metro area.
This obviously makes sense given the horrific COVID-19 pandemic. REcolorado recently made the decision to temporarily disable the Open House feature, so Realtors cannot promote open houses through MLS or REcolorado.com. Denver Metro Association of Realtors also released a statement that Realtors should not perform open houses right now. It is good to see the real estate community advising that we pause and take the advice of the CDC and the medical community.
